Annual Conference April 10 – 13, 2012

Preparations are underway for the AKHIMA 2012 annual conference, which will be held Tuesday, April 10 through Friday, April 13, 2012.   Once again the annual conference will be held at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage.    The conference program will include a Coding track on Tuesday and Wednesday, a Cancer Registry track on Wednesday, a General HIM track on Thursday, and  Management and ICD10/Revenue Cycle Management tracks on Friday.  We’re arranging for some great presenters from the Lower 48 as well as from within Alaska to share their knowledge and expertise with us.

The conference hotel will be the Residence Inn, which is directly opposite the conference center.   The Residence Inn is providing the following room rates to conference attendees. The room rates will be $99 for studio rooms, $109 for one-bedrooms, and $139 for two-bedrooms. All of the guest rooms will have an additional 12% bed tax added on to the reservation. All guests will be responsible to book and pay for their own reservations.  The deadline to make your reservation at this rate is March 18th, 2012.  Guests can make their reservations by calling 1-800-314-0781 and asking for the AKHIMA room block.  As there are a limited number of rooms reserved for the AKHIMA room block, early reservations are advised.

Additional information about the AKHIMA annual conference will be available in 2012.
